QA Functional & API Test Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled QA Engineer with strong expertise in Functional Testing and API Testing, along with hands-on experience in leveraging AI tools for test case generation, test design, and API validation.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in fast-paced environments and capable of improving QA efficiency using AI-assisted testing approaches.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end functional testing across web and mobile applications.
• Design, develop, and execute test cases and test scenarios based on business requirements.
• Perform API testing and validation using tools like Postman, REST clients, or automation frameworks.
• Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar) for:
  • Test case generation
  • Test scenario optimization
  • API test design and validation
• Identify, analyze, and track defects with proper root cause analysis (RCA).
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure quality delivery.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, and Retrospectives.
• Improve QA processes by introducing automation and AI-driven efficiencies.
• Validate data integrity and backend workflows.

Required Skills

Functional Testing

• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Experience in Manual Testing, Regression Testing, Smoke Testing, and UAT.
• Ability to create detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.

API Testing

• Hands-on experience with REST API testing.
• Experience with:
  • Postman
  • Swagger
  • REST Assured
  • Python Requests
• Understanding of:
  • HTTP methods
  • Status codes
  • JSON
  • Authentication

AI in QA

• Experience using AI tools for:
  • Test case generation
  • Test data creation
  • Debugging assistance
• Understanding of how to integrate AI into QA workflows.

Tools & Technologies

• JIRA
• TestRail
• Zephyr
• Git (basic understanding)
• Basic scripting knowledge in Python or Java
